(Before meeting with your advisor, please review the Economics program catalog and undergraduate degree maps to prepare. These resources may already answer some of your questions.)

Academic Advising

The academic advising team for our economics students at the Green School will assist you with all kinds of academic endeavors, such as course mapping for graduation, course requirements, prerequisites, credits, internships, or studying abroad.

Please visit this webpage for more information.

Since many student requests are eventually routed to the academic advising team for verification and processing, this should be your first stop for any academic related questions.

If you are a Transfer Student or Fully Online student with an Orientation Hold, please check your FIU email for instructions regarding a group orientation session.

If you are trying to enroll in a class asking for a permission number, click "accept" and move forward. Most of the time, this is a glitch in the system. You should still be able to enroll in the class. If this does not work, then you will need permission.

For ECO 4903, please attend Drop-in Advising to get permission. Department Consent Required: Senior standing with priority given to students in their last semester.  Students must meet with their assigned Academic Advisor in Economics or attend SIPA Drop-In Advising to be granted permission.
